Description
Make learning about Coping Skills FUN and EASY for your TK-2nd grade students. This activity can be used for Classroom SEL or Small group counseling. It is a power point slide activity that starts with a quick lesson teaching kids about positive vs. negative coping skills. Use your laptop in counseling to play or on a smartboard for whole-class SEL.
To play, first download the free gamecard (FREE download click Here) to help the students follow along and practice breathing strategies as they play.
Then, just read from each slide for the beginning lesson and then for each slide for the game. Students will color the shape that the slides tell them with a “P” for Positive, “N” for Negative, and “B” for breathing as they play the game. This is about a 30 minute activity.
